It is most heartening to know that our Cmt Disease, is not confined to the UK, and that additional foreign research resources, are also being made available:

However, a total, or any partial cure, to Cmt Disease is still "many-many" years away ?

We all still need to provide many medical solutions for our future generations, to eliminate the defective myelin that currently "wraps-around" our permantly damaged "peripheral-nerves":

Patients with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease Type 1A, harbour an extra copy of the PMP22 gene which leads to the overproduction of the peripheral myelin protein, 22 (PMP22), a key component of myelin sheathing, that is defective, and it "leaks":

Therefore, as a result, of our muscles not receiving a "strong", and also a "slow" electrical wave signal(s) "to and from" the brain, over a long period many years, our 'lower-limbs', muscle groups, will slowly, and most certainly, continue to "waste-away" ?

Let's hope that these research scientists, can offer 'HOPE' to our future generations ?
