Would like to take a year's break from statins. Does anyone know if this will have any long term effects on cardiovascular health?

Hi Seahorse,
I guess in a way this ties in with my experimental home monitoring. I know statins are not quick acting drugs so their effect probably takes a long time to wear off.
I know that plaque on arteries takes a long time to build, up but how long I don't know.
I sometimes feel with statins that medics take a blockbuster approach without tailoring to individual needs and preferences.
