Please can anyone tell me how often Cholesterol needs to be checked. I take statins and had heart attack and stents 3 years ago. thanks

Every three months I think based on my own experience

Thanks Mike my Dr has only tested mine 2x's in 3 years and both times I have had to request it. Looks like I will have to request the next too.

I've had mine checked at least every year, and every 3-6 months when they're changing the medication, but maybe it depends if you have FH or what.

I see a consultant once a year to have mine checked. But thats because they think I have FH.

A yearly check seems pretty normal then as I dont have FH so far as I know... I dont feel so neglected now :-)

I have everything checked every three months but if you are the picture of health it is the standard NHS policy to have everything checked plus weight and height once a year.
