How long does it take to recover from pleurisy plus is it normal to have it more than once. This is my third bout although the last two were over five years ago.

More than twenty years ago, I picked one while staying in a hotel in Scotland. did not know what it was until I came back to Reading and my wife made me go to the doctors! It lasted two weeks. Very very bad experience whole body was in shock. My brother who is a surgeon asked me how did you catch this? My response was I do not know apart from stayed for two nights in a hotel room!

If I may aske "Do you know how you got this?".

Sorry new machine which keeps wiping out what I write. I remember my father having this a couple of times when I was a child,I didn`t know you could "catch"it . From the little i remember it nearly killed him on both occasions .

I would also like to know more about it and any info would be helpfull.
