I’ve had Bell’s palsy for nearly 3 weeks now & have found that my ear & jaw on the side of paralysis is very sensitive & extremely painful. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi PM99

Let me be the first to welcome you to our community. Thanks for posting on here about your situation.

I can imagine things have been difficult for you recently managing both the physical symptoms of your Bells Palsy as well as the change to your appearance.

Its great you have found us and have felt able to reach out to ask some of the questions you have.

We also have condition specific information on our website which may or may not answer some of your questions. I have included a link here just in case its helpful.

I hope you find this a helpful space to connect with others whilst you navigate what sounds like a challenging time.

Take care

Hi PM99, I had Bell’s palsy some years back and I remember the paralysis of my face. It would be logical for there to be pain too as nerves are playing not very friendly games. I hope that yours settles down soon.

Best wishes
