hi my wife , 66 years old has C3G a was diagnosed 8 months ago. She was first put on predizone which she of course had horrible side effect from. Now she is on Cellcept which she becomes nauseous from and is now in the hospital suffering from a bacterial infection. Maybe related to the Cellcept? What other treatments are available Dr.

Nausea is very common with cellcept. Myfortic is the same drug but is often tolerated much better. I would ask her doctor about it as a possible alternative.

C3ng at your wife's age is often caused by Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance, a rare plasma disease. Due to my age, my nephrologist sent me to a hematologist immediately after my kidney biopsy confirmed C3G. Pls check with her doctor. Both diseases are so rare, he may not be aware.
