I am recently quit smoking. Over a month in and I'd like to replace the bad with something good. Running. I decided to run for a timed fifteen minutes straight- it felt great. I was at a decent pace, nothing to brag about, but for a 15 year smoker who hates cardio I'm giving myself a pat on the back. Anyhow, I'm also fairly broke and was wondering what's the best way to get into running to prep for a goal of 5k and beyond? What's worthwhile investments and best advice for tackling hills or running when it's frigid out. I chose the wrong season for me to want to be outdoors running, lol. Hope all are good and happy, healthy holidays!
