Lower tummy ache

Hi all, my husband has liver cirrhosis and and now experiencing sever lower tummy pain, does anybody know what this might be?

It could be anything and none of us could possibly confirm - lower tummy could be appendix, fluid build up related, bowel related, related to his cirrhosis or not. He needs to see his GP for examination.
