I have decompensated liver (Cirrhosis). I was given ant-virals approx 4 years ago and have SVR. Recently, I have developed mild erectile dysfunction, though now I'm struggling to ejaculate. When I do sperm is watery. My testes appear smaller. I have had my testosterone levels checked and have been told by my GP that they are within average range for my age (59).
Is this a sign of my liver deteriorating further (have read this may be linked on google)?
Anyone had this experience and know if there a treatment for this?

Shrunken testes, loss of male pattern body hair, growth of breast tissue, loss of sexual function or desire, loss of libido can all be linked with cirrhosis owing to changes in testosterone levels.
I don't think you can read into these additional symptoms that your liver is getting any worse - GP says your testosterone levels are ok for your age. Did GP check your prostate too? (finger up the bum, or PSA blood tests).
Symptoms could just be normal signs of aging or indeed could be liver related, worth mentioning to your liver doctor. I know some folks on here have had some form of hormone replaplacement therapy but whenever we've discussed it with doctors over the 12 years of hubbies illness no one has ever batted an eye about it - like it's just one of those (lesser) symptoms that goes with liver disease. My hubby hasn't had any interest or function in that department for the duration of his diagnosis and a good couple of years before.
Thanks for this. Much appreciated. Yes, he checked prostrate and is bit swollen, as is typical for my age, and testosterone levels and bloods etc and all ok. But, I think it has to be testosterone also, so I’m stumped.
