What does it mean if you LFT's are returning to normal and a 30% decrease in fibroscan result (36 down to 23)

Either of these two scenarios.1. Your first scan was a falsely inflated result due to ongoing inflammation but with results improving the new scan is more accurate. Fubroscan notoriously can't tell the difference between inflamed liver tissue and actual fibrosis.

2. Could be that by controlling what was attacking the liver both the blood results and fibrosis have improved.

As explained by my consultant.Removing the cause has resulted in the attack on my liver stopping and it healing enough to be able to do its job.

He said I will always have cirrhosis regardless of improved test results but with average luck it will stay as a "condition" and not become a life threatening illness.
