reading so many posts about all the diffrent tests and results that people get , I’ve also noticed some peoples KPA scores from the same underlying conditions may have a KPA cap score that falls into the cirrhosis range but they don’t have it. And some have a lower KPA cap score that isn’t in that range that do have cirrhosis. Just my take on things.

staging
It depends why you have fibrosis/cirrhosis. Eg I have nafld so anything over 13.5 is stage 4 whereas if it’s alcohol related anything over 18.5 is stage 4. Google fibroscan score chart which will show you.
Yes I understand that, what I’m saying is just because your KPA is 13.5 with Nafld doesn’t always mean you have cirrhosis. Just from the KPA score alone. They need to use bloods and past medical history and other imaging and other tests to come up with that diagnosis. The KPA score may be leading them to that . It’s not a one and done fibroscan and this is what you’ve got.
No test is 100% reliable, many things can affect fibroscan results - ongoing inflammation can falsly inflate scores, rib spacing, eating before hand, tummy fat etc. Test results have to be put together like a jigsaw to form the full picture for a diagnosis.
