Coming up to the 4th anniversary of my spectacular attempt to kill myself because I thought I was dying of cirhossis. Unhelpfully I had a mole removed about 5 weeks ago, on Friday the hospital phoned to make an appointment with the so knew it was bad news. They saw me on the same day, I have a stage 1 melonoma now thankfully removed. Feels like I am constantly avoiding sniper bullets!

Keep avoiding !
I’m so glad they caught it early Iro! I just had some moles removed (4) and thankfully they had not reached the cancer stage!

Mine was a melanoma so technically is cancer, it is a type called superficial spreading melanoma so go outwards across the skin at first rather than down, it had only penetrated .6mm so no where near the lymph glands. Started as a small black spot then grew, my wife and I thought we were wasting NHS time but thankfully the GP took no chances and it was removed on the same day that I went for the initial consultation. 98.4 % of people with my stage 1a last 5 years or more. Got to to go back and have some more surrounding skin removed. They have checked my whole body nothing else. They monitor me for a year, cover up and factor 50 from now on! Love the outdoors, sailing but got to take care.
I also have a number of cherry angiomas or red moles. When I was ill Dr Googling I read these could be linked to liver issues. My wife has a lot of them which I think is linked to hormones in pregnancy. Mine could be linked to hormones because I suffer from hypogonadism and I am on T replacement. Honestly I use to check my palms for redness, my feet for signs of liver disease, my pooh, my urine. Worrrying about liver disease is a full time job!
At some point you have to get on with your life.
Keeping you on your toes.
Funny thing just googled cherry angiomas no mention of liver at all when I was ill mentally I googled it and found every link had a connection to liver. My brain or google?
