vie got liver cirrhirrous, with portal hyper tension, had a biopsy nearly 4 weeks ago , still awaiting results, have rang them on several accusations just tell me not been sorted yet,

After my hubbies first biopsy it took 8+ weeks fo results to come back as they had sent samples to main liver hospital for their opinion. I take it this biopsy was to try and establish the cause of your cirthosis. Waiting is a pain I know but sometimes it can't be avoided.

Sadly our poor NHS is really struggling with so many staff now off sick with Covid, others are leaving the profession, while some are taking a much needed break/holiday.

Many local hospitals don't have the facilities to carryout these specialist tests on the biopsy sample, or interperat the results. So they maybe sent to a specialist liver centre for clarification. This is where the backlog may be happening as there are just too many people requiring these tests.

Sadly it's a case of just having to wait. Try not to worry, and as Katie has just said, carry on living your life.

Yeah it all takes time but yr in the system now. I made the mistake of not taken my medication properly especially the lactolose. I collapsed at Xmas and was admitted to hospital. WHAT EVER YOU DO MAKE SURE YOU TAKE ALL YR MEDS PROPERLY.! Yr be fine and just go with the flow. I suffer with stress but have learnt there's nothing I can do to speed up the process. If there was something wrong they would have you in hospital by now so I suppose it the old saying " no news is good news"take care .👍
