Sorry to ask but I’m new here and have been putting searches in to read stories similar to mine. Is there a way that I can search on peoples names to find out if they have updated things on another post . An example is that I was reading up on a person from 4 yrs ago re her ex but then the post ended . I was hoping to find out the results of his tests etc that maybe she updated on a separate post. Thank you

Hi Moux and welcome to the forum :)

At the top of the page, you can search for any keywords such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, blood pressure etc... it will show relevant posts. Also when you post symptoms, problem etc it will generate keywords and you can click on those or even check out the related posts on the right hand side of the page. But quite often people with similar problems will be more than happy to share their experience and advice with you and you can always ask them and they kindly share their story which is so lovely. Also if you prefer, once you have a reply you can click on that persons name and read their bio and previous posts.

I hope this helps

Dave

Thank you ,and thanks for the information I didn’t know that you could click on a persons name to see their posts . It was really an update on a persons progress from years ago that I was looking for which hadn’t continued on the same post and wondered if I could do a search on them to see any further posts that they have made .I’ve managed the search bit lol, I’m getting there, thanks again

If you know the persons forum name you can click on "Members" and search and that will locate them for you. :)

There is even an easier way to do it. When you find a poster and say to yourself "that is someone I want to follow" just click on their name and you sill see their previous posts. You should save them, maybe in a file or in an email to yourself "people I want to follow" or something, just to make it easier.

For example, I am now going up to your name....clicking on it....and when I do here is what comes up....

Unfortunately you can't search replies. You can search for things by the original posters name but anything said in the same thread by other people can't be searched for.

If you need specific info it's MUCH better to make your own post.

That way if someone posts in reply and the info given is wrong a trust moderator can step in and correct it.
