Hello,

We are very sorry to hear about the death of your sister.

The word 'hepatitis' means inflammation of the liver cells and there are many different reasons for this to occur. The inflammation can eventually lead to scarring of the liver which affects the way it functions.

I wonder whether your sisters GP would have any more information about what the cause of the hepatitis might have been?

regards
