Mum with ESLD

I hope someone can help. My mum just does not seem to be getting better. She is in hospital again, Thursday night my dad found her all confused, talking on the phone and the phone was dead, didn’t know where she was. I called an ambulance the following day. UTI has been ruled out so they took her in for tests. We are constantly being told that she her liver is very slowing improving but if that’s the case why isn’t she getting a bit better. She is extremely thin but eats well, she is still itching all over her body. This has been on going for 9 months and no one can get to the bottom of it. She has seen a dermatologist who said it’s liver related but the hepatology say it’s not. But she is still suffering. Her bloods show that her bilirubin levels are fine.

I just want to know if this is normal or should she be getting better?? When I’ve been to the hospital when she is having the drains, others don’t look like her. I’m good to call the nurse tomorrow and try an arrange a meeting with the consultant l.
