My Alt results have gone up from 204 to 257, I'm on 15g. I'm unsure why. I am tapering last blood test 2 weeks ago. It initially went down from 500 to 204, I'm confused??
I want to come off Prednisolone, but my test results will not allow this. Anyone give any reasons why my Alt is not going down.?
Any tips on diet I've reduced my processed food and eat fairly healthy ie fruit and veg.?

Who is monitoring your tapering? - as I said in an earlier thread (you put up) this should be consultant led and not a GP! Although your results initially came down somewhat they still arn't under control so you shouldn't be tapering down whilst they arn't yet under some sort of reasonable control. Obviously the goal is to reduce steroids to a minimum or eventually get off them but that can only be achieved once bloods are down and an immune suppressant introduced.
There are no specific diets for Autoimmune Hepatitis. Keep on with the healthy eating, some people try gluten free but that's more a choice thing rather than any proof it helps AIH.
