Hello. I posted recently about my possible diagnosis of early stage cirrhosis following two ultrasound scans and a hepatology consultation. This week I had a follow up consultation with a hep consultant plus a fibroscan. 10kpa and a cap score of 310. Not great, but I was assured it isn’t cirrhosis. I wasn’t given a diagnosis as such apart from ‘fatty liver and some fibrosis’, but was told to make further dietary changes where possible and obviously continue to stay off the drink. Some bloods were still a bit off-normal but nothing was raised as an immediate concern.
Have to go back for repeat scan/bloods/consult in 8 months. Also have to have an MRI scan in 6 months as they found a pancreatic cyst at the most recent ultrasound scan which will now need regular monitoring.
It has taken a fair while to get to this stage, but I feel much better knowing that I am in the system and will have regular follow ups. This forum has been really useful for background info and guidance as to terminology and things to consider.
