Help with MRI findings - relieved

Hi everyone, so i've eventually had MRI with contrast and doc just called me with the results. The 2 masses on my liver (discovered on previous ultrasound) are confirmed as benign hemangiomas (thanks Katie for putting my mind at ease following my previous post after the ultrasound, I worried far less waiting for the MRI than I would have without you helping me understand.

They have however detected what she described as liquid on the surface of the back of my liver. I am not worried per se as she also noted the report stated nothing sinister. I already have a referral for the hepatologist next month so I am sure they will elaborate further. I am just wondering if anyone else has had similar. Everything i have read and been researching to help understand, I have not come across anything that mentions fluid on the surface? would it appear like that if it was fatty?

On a brighter note, I am already 1 stone down. Purely through no alcohol (since Nov when I had the ultrasound and Laura educating me on it being poison). I am also swapping out and replacing with plant based where I can following others advice on posts I am reading on here and I must say, i am not finding it hard at all.

Only 4 stone to go :-D

Glad we all helped a bit to make the wait less stressful and glad the result turned out to be just haemangioma - far more benign liver lumps our there than scaries so glad it is that way for you.

All the best, Katie

Yes, me too. You're reassurance and explanations and experiences shared by others helped the anxiety no end. I stopped googling, read a few more posts on here about others' experiences and it made the world of difference during the wait - thank you x
