Hello,

I have included our information regarding liver biopsy, and I am sure our forum members will share their experiences.

Hi there - My biopsy didn't hurt at all, although I had some very good drugs. I think occasionally you may get some right shoulder pain afterwards (I think this can happen if the needle catches a nearby nerve) but this shouldn't last long. After the biopsy you will probably need to lie on your side for a couple of hours in hospital just to make sure that there are no ill affects before you go home. Depending on the drugs you are offered, you may need someone to take you home - I certainly wasn't able to drive for the rest of the day.

Best

Paul.
