Effective Medicine for Liver Cirrhosis

Can anyone tell me what is the effective medicine for liver cirrhosis that prevents damages ?

If you have cirrhosis, the only medication you should take are those which have been prescribed by your doctor/ consultant/liver specialist. Anything promoted online as a miracle cure to cirrhosis should be avoided as they can actually cause further damage to your liver. So please just stick with what is prescribed.Take care. Laura

Exercise, a healthy, balanced diet and plenty of fluid that doesn’t contain any alcohol or added sugar.

Water, exercise,healthy diet is vital, protein (not the powder gym bunny stuff) low salt intake and obviously not a drop of Alcohol, also can't say much more that hasn't been covered by Laura and TT 👍. Hope that helps a bit.Ashley

There are apparently, two clinical trials for advanced fibrosis/cirrhosis that my doc said are working on patients "curing them 100%". His words. I will inform more on here later after my fibroscan in early feb as he promised if my liver is bad, he'd put me on the trials. Hopefully my liver is better and I won't have to know anymore about these meds!

This is really a great news and a ray in the dark. I have been suffering a lot and still waiting if there is any hope around. I believe you will share if you have any information on this trail medicine to help me. May God bless you.

I think it's fair not to build peoples hopes up too much. If such trials are being carried out in your country it may be a while if they are successful before they are accepted for trial in other countries.

The only trials I am aware of are those involving stem cells treatments. These are ongoing worldwide trails and are aimed at regenerating scarred tissue as in the case of cirrhosis. Many of the eastern countries are well advanced in this technic: youtu.be/w10xssynuHw(Not working as expected?)
