I have AIH and despite all the usual grief that comes with taking steroids and immunosupressants (nausea, tiredness, general creaky joints etc.) I have never experienced any pain, especially around the liver area. I think perhaps you should get that checked out by your GP/consultant as it may be something else - gall bladder, maybe?

Good morning Cayley,

I am sorry to hear of your pain.

Any new symptom , paticularly if persistent or worsening, should be discussed with your own doctors. If the pain is intermittent, you may find keeping a diary useful to assist the doctor in reaching a diagnosis.

It is important not to assume that a new symptom is linked to any exisiting condition.

Take care,
