Eyes red and blood shot

Hi guys I've got red eyes and very glazed over and blood shot. Always feel strained or like there burning. Any ideas can it be related to fatty liver disease

I'm not sure why your suffering with red eye but it could be down to tiredness, eye strain or something else.

For me when this happens I do what an old GP of mine recommended which has alway worked and is not harmful to the eyes. This will also clear mild conjunctivitis.

Soak 2 tea bags in boiling water and let cool. Lye flat on a bed or sofa with a towel beneath your head. Place one teabag on each eye and press very lightly and leave for about 10 minutes. Repeat twice daily. Note do not break the teabag. If your red eye has not improved with 24 to 48 hours I would recommend seeing your GP.

My husband often gets red eye which normally goes after a day or two.
