Hi all I'm a British 32 YO male and as some of you may have seen, i have recently been given the news that my fibroscan showed that i have fairly advanced fibrosis which to be honest scared me to death. The doctor wasn't very helpful and i just keep seeing the concerned look that he had when he was giving me my results.

A few days and some stupid Dr google results on, i was wondering if anyone here had some success stories or positives that they can share with me to let me know it's not all doom and gloom.

There are questions that i have ready for my next appt but can anyone advise me on whether i can still live a healthy, long life or is this the beginning of a downward health spiral? I feel like i can't plan for the future any more !

I don't drink anymore, don't smoke, weight is dropping and diet is all good.

Thanks in advance.

It scares me that I see the ages of people getting younger and younger. At 36 people smirk when I tell them I think my liver is bad and it makes me feel silly.

I'm not in a position to advise you but I see a lot of folk on here doing exceptionally well after a lifestyle change.

Wishing you all the best
