Hubby went for an MRI scan today, and they told him he will likely have to come back for another one, I don’t know why, and hubby didn’t ask..
He has also to go for an echo ecg.
Anyone else had this?

Yes I had 3 plus other scans before they finally diagnosed my problem I think some of delays were to check over time changes and response to meds
Just think it’s strange he got his scan and they told him straight away he will likely get another one
Hi Agnes , how are you, I think it would depend on the reason he had the MRI, I had a few because I had a stricture and I had MRI repeated to see how it was doing, I also had the echo ecg, which was a painless ultrasound scan, I hope everything is ok for your hubby xx
Hi,
The echo or ecg is a test of your heart and how it is functioning. Doctors do this for a bunch of different reasons.
Not sure why he would need to repeat his mri - I just had one recently for a pinched nerve in the neck area and since it was really hard to lie there while my arm was screaming the operator told me it was important to get thru the first 4 series of scans. That was all I could stand - luckily it worked for the doctor I saw. Anyway, it could be that the pictures they got were not great pics or perhaps the scan did not show the area the doctor wanted to see.
Best wishes,
Mary
