That is interesting. So someone could actually be on a healthy diet and not drink alcohol and be doing everything right and still develop a fatty liver :-( :-(

Was to me Alf. Until I became a roast I had no idea so hopefully it enlightens many more like me 🙂

This is me. Don't drink. Thought I was fairly healthy and then had an operation. Afterwards was told I had Chirrosis - not fatty liver but actual Chirrosis. Was gobsmacked. Lost my job bevauae of it

My boss didn't understand why I had it and that I had developed HE which caused mood swings and more loss. I would forget what I was saying and also words. Now on Rifaximin and what a difference but my work decoded I had too much of a risk of getting ill and being off work. People don't believe I didn't drink. Even one doctor accused me of drinking in my G P Practice. I think awareness needs to be raised that there are other ways to develop Chirrosis.

It’s the first thing I am asked - how much did you drink then.....

Exactly 3S. I am ashamed to say that before I joined this board I would have thought the same as only ever heard of it being alcohol related. Hopefully this article will make people think. For the majority it's not ignorance but lack of education/understanding.
