Hi, I’m currently on the waiting list to have my gallbladder removed after a scan discovered several large stones. My question is, after a gallbladder attack last Saturday night I have been left with a persistent stitch-like pain under my ribs on the right side. It has not gone away & is only relieved by lying down. It’s not very painful but it’s very uncomfortable & there all the time. Should I be worried? Thanks.

Hi Mitz and welcome to this great forum.
Sorry to hear about your pain. ☹️. I think members may be quiet because they might wonder, as I do, why you haven’t gone to the doctors straight away? That’s really what I think you should do because what you are going through doesn’t sound good! If you don’t let then know your problems it may be that your waiting time is longer than it could be? I don’t know enough about waiting lists to be sure but people suffering the most must surely be treated quicker than those than with only “minor” concerns?
Whatever happens - good luck 👍👍👍.
