Hi all. Husband waiting to see if he can go on transplant list. Done assessments but follow up as oxygen low in blood. Readings 33. Also said see something on heart a shadow. Follow up mri and a bubble test. Could this mean no transplant.

Hi there Whitlock, all is not lost.

If you are anything like me I worry over everything. It’s no wonder my hair is white LOL 😂

It’s too soon surely, to speculate.

I am sure all will become clearer. Give them time to complete the full assessment. They only want the best outcome.

I do not know very much about the liver. But I am on the list 220 days now and counting. I have a very popular blood group.

So, for now try to worry. Easier said than done. I know this.

All I really know for sure is that all the doctors everywhere want the best for your hubby.

For now, I am sending you virtual hugs and lots of positive vibes.

Stay fit well and happy.

There will I am so sure, be lots of folks here to support you.

You have come to the right place.

Have a good day.

Jaycee

Sadly sometimes a line has to be drawn. There are so many different verbals that have to be considered before someone is considered suitable for a transplant. This is such a sad fact of life, which no doubt has been explain to you by now. This is why each candidate is assessed by a team of specialists, and it is the team who make the final decision and not just one individual.

I think under the circumstances, you maybe better off calling the BLT's support line on 0800 652 7330. Or if you prefer, visit their support webpage at: britishlivertrust.org.uk/fi...

I wish both you and your husband best wishes.
