An ALT of 38 is within the normal healthy range. In Australia where I am the normal range is 5-40. In the US there are so many overweight people with fatty livers who eat large quantities of meat & rich foods that the upper limit of the normal range is higher at 45 possibly to stop the health system being overwhelmed by the number of people with raised ALT scores due to fatty liver! Ideally you want ALT to be as low as possible but your score of 38 is a good one considering that you have cirrhosis & hep B. Keep doing whatever you are doing.

Thankyou. I'll keep taking care of myself. I've come a long way. I was in Hospice care in 2016. I wasn't ready to give up.
