hi guys, its been a while since i visited this site.
so today i redo all the laboratory exams for my liver. so far im really really happy with the result because my blood test are all NORMAL compared to last year!!! my KPA also went down from 9.8kpa to 8.9 now after 9 months. i am still aiming for the normal score. my question is, how long can we recover from fibrosis, though i am not in rush, but i am very curious how long will the liver can recover.
also, what does the IQR/Median Ration mean? thats the only score that went up, last year my score was 14.7% and now i got 28%. it says on the paper that it is about liver stiffness, its that bad thing?
Appreciate your inputs on this

Hiya eya1234 👋 firstly well done you on doing fab so far x
I'm not expert I can only go on me personally ....after total sobriety,a strict.ish diet & putting on weight 😢(I was told to lol) >>> my liver and other organs are "back to normal" & the hospital is delighted with my results.
I don't fully understand the medical jargon (better off waiting for a better reply x) but I'm due a fibroscan to measure the stiffness of my liver.
The IQR is not a medical test result but a mathematical term that looks at the mid 50% of fibroscan results thus ignoring the bottom 25% and the top 25% of outliers. The lower the % the better generally as it means less variation in the results.
