Frequent Urination

Hi - has anyone had frequent urination as an early symptom of liver disease please?

I have been waking up a couple of times a night to go and during the day once I start going I need to go several times.

All lft’s and ultrasound clear but know there is something bad going on :-(

Frequent urination can be a symptom of diabetes, has that been checked out?

Your profile doesn't say whether you are a male or female or your approx age but if male has your prostrate gland been checked? Its another thing that can cause frequent urination.

Certainly hasn't been a symptom my hubby with cirrhosis has.

Hi Katie - thanks for replying.

I have had all sorts of blood tests to check my liver, kidneys, etc, urine tests and ultrasound but nothing found yet. I am male age 40 so maybe prostate is a good shout?

Some days (probably 5 out of 7) the frequency is normal and other days I can’t stop going - irrelevant of the amount I drink.

Thanks for sharing your husbands condition. It is so helpful to be able to be able to speak with real people that have real experience.

It might be as well to ensure that your long-term blood sugars (HbA1c blood test) are normal. Have you had a PSA test for prostate issues?
