SMV Thrombus

Hello all

Hubby seems to be improving again 6 months post transplant. Had a nasty episode with CMV ealy May but under control now. Reading other people's messages seems to be quite common so although he felt awful I managed not to panic (a first for me). He was refused a transplant in June last year as he had a very large SMV Thrombus which was subsequently treated with Warfarin. Ms Cortes tried to remove it all during his transplant but the CT scan done recently showed that despite still being on Warfarin it is back. I can't find too much about this and any implications. Does anyone else have experience or knowledge about this?

On a different note our thoughts are with you all and especially with Chelle at the moment.

We were allowed to go on holiday last week and took my 90 year old Dad (with dementia) with us on a 7 day cruise. We had a fantastic time despite Les being ill a couple of days and he proudly wore his transplant t-shirt round the ship and spoke to lots of people about organ donation - hope it helped even a little.

Good luck all and goodnight.

Much love

Kim
