Has anyone had the ebv virus post transplant ? Most commonly called the kissing disease lol

Have you been diagnosed with mononucleosis? Thats known as the kissing disease too. I've not had it post transplant. Most people have it when they are kids and don't notice it. But if you get it when you are older it can be much worse. I got it in 2011 and it knocked me for 6. Had to have about 6 weeks off work. That was without immuno suppression so if you have that or its reactivated (which apparently can happen with a suppressed immune system) then I feel for you.

By the way you can catch by other means than kissing too, lol.

I know I been reading up a little on it lol ... They don't seem too worried at moment they said best way to treat at moment is reducing immuno suppresents that's why steroids have been knocked down to 5 mg at long last ... Just been told at present if temperature raises then GP so fingers crossed it drops only thing what's changed is I feel like I have been hit by a ten tonne truck

You poor thing you’ve done so well, the virus will run it’s course, it’s written but hopefully you’ll feel better soon (you’ve got through worse) xx all the best xx
