Hi, welcome to the place to find someone to talk to. I'm diagnosed with hep c and fibrosis. Quite new here myself! 🙏🤕
Hi there, thanks for your message i did intend on writing something other thsn HI but i pressed the send button too soon! 😶☺
I'm sorry to hear about your condition when were you diagnosed? I've got cirrhosis of the liver I was diagnosed a year ago - i've got an excellent gastroenterologist consultant and i've managed to get my liver compensated. It was a huge shock to receive that diagnosis, i'm only 37. In September2016 I had felt generally unwell I went to the drs on the Monday after work, he did some blood tests but also commented that my eyes looked slightly yellow I had noticed this and I thought it was jaundice.
I got a call at 8am the next day asking me to go to the Drs immediately the blood tests had shown a very high marker - this marker was the one that can suggest ovarian cancer, I was referred as an urgent under the 2 week cancer detection target, I had intrusive tests which thankfully were negative. Drs were still scratching their heads and they now thought it could be possible pancreatic cancer - again I had tests which were negative.
Drs moved on to my liver and they confirmed I had cirrhosis which was a huge shock and I've just been doing as much as i can for my liver - its now compensated but when I was admitted to hospital my liver had entered the decomposition phase and i was now showing signs of encephalopathy i've forgot the full term but basically toxins were entering my head and along with morphine i was out of it. Thats my story anyway sorry if i've blabbed on!
Hi
I really hope you go on ok next week xxx
