Hello and welcome to the forum. Who has said you have this score? The Child Pugh score is a classification scoring system for how bad cirrhosis is. I take it you are probably currently suffering symptoms of decompensated cirrhosis. A child pugh score of 11 does put you in the more severe bracket of cirrhosis HOWEVER if you can tackle what is causing your liver ill health there is a chance to reverse this somewhat and it is possible to go from a decompensated (struggling) liver to a compensated (coping) liver.

I hope you are seeing a doctor who is looking after your liver health at present, if not then you need to be a.s.a.p.

Best wishes, Katie

I’ve got end stage cirrhosis, I’ve improved my CPS from 10 to 6, by stopping any prepared foods, reducing my salt intake, cooking all food from scratch and fresh. Aim to eat 4-5 small meals, rather than 2 big meals.

Always have a bedtime snack to prevent your blood sugar going too low, saturated fat is good as a source of calories.

Try to eat a protein with every meal, to prevent muscle wasting.

Reducing salt and diuretics will reduce ascities, take as much lactulose to ensure you have 2-3 bowel movements daily, if you can’t achieve that you may need phosphate enema, this reduces signs of encephalopathy.

Try to walk every day and slowly build up the distance and have a nap when you need one.

Good luck
