So I have cirrhosis, graded at A/B, prognosis is fair, every chance to live a normal life. So teetotal, betablockers and lose some weight. I am now the nominated driver for life a small price to pay for a future. Feeling much better, breathing more easily, legs not retaining fluids and bloods normal. Liver is compensating and I intend to keep it that way.
I have found this site full of advice and inspiration, best wishes to all.
Thanks Tim

Hello Tim I hope your felling well I realize this post is a few months old but was wondering how your getting on. I have read your other posts and was wondering about your fibroscan it said you scored a 7.8 with my research and I seem to have done a lot lately that would point to possible f2 fibrosis not cirrhosis how did your doctor diagnose you I thought the fibroscan was more accurate than that did you have a biopsy.
Hi Boone, My Dr takes the fibroscan as an indicator and he focusses on the blood works hence his diagnosis of Cirrohsis. Progress has been good, there are ups and downs, tiredness and fatigue seem to be a fact of life and limit me in some ways but I feel better now than I have for some time. I have not had a drink for 6 months and will not in future. Currently due another scan next week to check progress.
Thanks Tim this is all really confusing when it comes to the liver I have heard and read so many conflicting things. I'm glad you are feeling better and I hope the your fatigue lessens with time I have heard exercise helps. I'm also 6 months sober I don't have a diagnosis but have a specialist appointment next week and am trying to get as much info as possible to be prepared. Thanks again I hope you keep on improving.
I suggest you take a list of questions and concerns with you and write down some of the answers. I find its information overload and need the notes to check later!
