is it safe to take stains with Nash?

Stains
I am assuming you mean statins for cholesterol. This should be something you discuss with your liver doctor. Some people do take them, some people don't but if your risk of heart attack is high then it is probably a more immediate risk to life then the NASH.
You should check with your specialist.

I am on stations with NASH cirrhosis and it was my hepatologist that referred me to the pathologist for them.
I know a lot of people can't but my triglycerides were so high because of another health problem.
So I guess the person to ask is your consultant.

I think there was a study that showed statins reduced decompensation in cirrhosis due to Hep C so they may actually be beneficial you would have to ask a specialist about it.
I agree need to speak with your specialist. For me. I could never get on with stations to lower my cholesterol as I couldn't cope with the problems I had with them. I tried a few. My husband is on them and touch wood they seem to help him. As far as we know he hasn't progressed beyond cholesterol containing. I always was an awkward so and so.
Good luck with whatever is right for you.

Perhaps it is for the best. Best of luck.
