You really need to discuss this result with your doctor as none of us are medically trained to provide guidance on Fibroscan interpretation. It does sound on the high side though and you need to see what can be done.

You might want to address your drinking pattern as this is only going to continue to make your liver more poorly especially on top of a viral hepatitis.

Are you receiving the life long anti-virals for your Hep B? It would be normal to try and keep this illness subdued with the available treatments - it can't be cured at the present time but they should be trying to keep its effects on your liver to a minimum.

You've a few things there that definitely need to be discussed with medics.

The IQR is the spread of the results or range, difference between lowest and highest. No idea what an IQR of 3.7 means but a Fibroscan with a kPa of 27.7 or 28.4 suggests established cirrhosis. I have chronic Hep B and my fibroscan when i was diagnosed with Liver cancer caused by the Hep B was 12kPa.

Your liver is receiving a double whammy from both the virus and the alcohol which might suggest it will become sicker twice as fast as for someone who just has the one cause of damage. The Hep B can be treated, are you seeing a doctor or hepatologist for this. There is no treatment for the alcohol apart from not drinking any. If you have trouble avoiding alcohol it might be time to join a support group to help you give up drinking.

Unless you address both issues you are on a fast road toward destroying your liver, you only have one, not like a kidney where you have two.

Thanks Bolly ! On your advice and I rightfully agreed to it. Cirrohis is rather difficult and slim chance to restore to its original condition which is being believed by Majorities to be an Irreversible damage, However, certain Chinese (in china ) Physicians claimed that it is not Totally Impossible but with the treatment of Chinese Traditional Treatmemt it could be Possible especially for Cirrosis patient in stage A, or under Compensation period.??

I strongly agreed to your saying of attack from Double sources,my counter act is to stop intake of alcohol, changes in living style and Food Medication (to use Food rather than drugs)to sustain or cure the deteriorated liver cells. Secondly is to employ drugs for treating Hep B under the Ultimate Aim of at least sustain, not worsen the incurred damages. In same times I need to determine the Close to Real deteriorated phase via MRI and Biosphy and believed that for such a Large and Complex organ we really need more data from various sources and the Techniques to compile so as reach and Clear on the REAL, EXACT Power of this Enemy.

I am gladful to join this Group and fight our Common enemy.

Thanks again.
