Not sure if you was a heavy drinker or not but if you was it could be withdrawal symptoms, if you wasn't then you need to go to gp and get checked out. I didn't have any symptoms when I got diagnosed I only went gp because I was constantly knackered, not a tired I want to sleep it was lack of energy so no definite way to diagnose through symptoms as it could be a few things and I not a doctor, so if your truly concerned get your answers asap from a professional. Good luck
Good morning,
The liver is brilliant at working despite everything we throw at it. So you can feel fine until the damage is quite severe. There are signs and symptoms which can often be missed, how ever, if you go to the British Liver Trust website, there are leaflets that cover just about every possible aspect of liver disease.
Its a very positive move to give up alcohol, especially if you felt it was beginning to harm your health.
As jojoKarak has already said, nobody here is able to diagnose, we are all here to provide support for those who are caring for people, or have liver disease ourselves. The way forward, if you are at all concerned about your liver, is to see your GP who will take your history, especially regarding drinking, examine you and importantly arrange liver function tests (LFTs).
I should mention that my liver disease was alcohol related and I went on, last year, to have a liver transplant. Some of the things both you and jojoKarak have mentioned were true for me as well, so you are right to be concerned.
I hope that if there is a problem, you have given up alcohol in good time. The liver is very good at recovering and there are people on this site who were actually diagnosed with cirrhosis, but by a complete change in lifestyle, were able to return to normal liver function. So its not all bad news.
The leaflets even cover that as well. Diet and regular exercise are something you can begin to change immediately without any help other than getting the right information.
In the meantime, take care of yourself, don't worry too much and keep us informed as to how you get on.

When I went into detox from alcohol I had awful leg pains,I was walking like 90 years old man,I was in agony when I tried to walk,I had to hold on to something when I walked, and I looked like I was 8 month pregnant,I was given lithium for a week, then all I wanted to do was sleep, best thing you can do is get checked out with your gp if your worried.
Hope your OK
