I have recently been diagnosed with the liver condition PSC (Primary Schlerosing Cholangitis).
I need to take anti-biotics as I have also found out that I have Chlamydia. Does anyone know if or what anti-biotics I should take as the ones suggested say they shouldn't be taken if you have a liver disease.
Many Thanks

Pretty much all meds have a warning re liver disease. You could ask you local pharmacist - not the counter assistant, the pharmacist. They are trained in knowing which meds are best for what and which meds contraindicate each other, assuming you are on meds for the PSC? Of course if you want different antibiotics you will have to go back to your GP or sexual health clinic.
I can't answer your question about anti-biotics, but my son, now aged 25 was diagnosed with PSC 2 years ago. He has been gluten and dairy free, but most importantly, taking Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) for several months and his liver enzymes have improved tremendously, with 2 of 3 being normal. I would strongly suggest trying LDN and diet; google Dr. Burton Berkson of Las Cruces, NM and read his books about LDN and alpha lipoic acid and other supplements to treat auto immune conditions; and join the Yahoo LDN user group to get more information about conditions that respond to LDN treatment.
