A million dollar question-:). One thing I personally feel is you should not shave your head till the end of treatment. Before the last day of your radiology shave your head I think this is more helpful for a quicker growth. Oil your scalp with coconut oil quite well all time.use a baby shampoo after the hair starts coming back. You can buy a wig if you want for the time be ing. Please note my hair growth is so slow am still using the wig, I still oil my crew cut with a small bald patch in the middle of my head religiously, hoping something presentable will finally come out. Be careful of nails they will blacken, fall and new nails will grow . All the best shirdi, one does not know may be your hair come back before I am presentable without wig. Don't take these things to heart these side effects a re good. Signs too. All the best . Where are you in India?

i m in maharashtra. at last today as all my hair stuck to each other i have to do shave completely as i was having eaching and was unable to control and also i had lost 60%. therefore i had to do shaving.

My Hair start growing after one month of my last chemo.It was a healthy growth.Have a very nutricious protien diet.Oil your scalp and use a very mild shampoo.Don't worry about hair. God gives this hairstyle ( baldness) to his special childrans.....

Hello shirdi,do not worry your hair will grow back soon.just have a nutritious diet.i did not wear a wig but used to tie a scarf in a fashionable way and even go to school to teach.just be confident and positive.feel beautiful from inside.

Do not worry - you will get the most beautiful mane of hair once the effect of the treatment wears off.

Most imp is for you to be back on your feet hale and hearty.

I have a friend who refused to wear a wig and her bald head was so impressive.

Cool confidence and the will to be a fighter is more imp than physical beauty.

The mere fact that you have undergone cancer treatment is proof enough of your inner strength. External looks are insignificant in comparison.

i also feel that my bald head also looks impressive. but i m professional and cannot go in public like that if every one comes to know that i m having cancer it may affect my profession and i dont want it to happen. thats why started wearing wig from today

Hello Shirdi - don't get tense - wear a wig and be comfortable. Nobody except your very close ones will know that you are wearing a wig. We know that we face more problems especially when you are in the profession & in small cities. Not attending your profession for long months is definately bothering you.
