I AM ADVICED TO TAKE LETROZOLE FOR FIVE YEARS THIS IS MY THIRD YEAR R THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS

Hello Meeta,

Letrozole does have some side effects, though not all patients will suffer from them. The main side effects are related to decrease of calcium in the bone (change in turnover of calcium).

Letrozole can cause osteoporosis , so one has to be really careful. You must take calcium supplements and bons strengthening tablets ( bisphosphonates). Also check your baseline bone mineral density by doing a DEXA scan .

My mother took it for five years till then she was fine... N after she stopped takin it there were relapses .....
