Heat burn

Has anyone experienced heat burn after chemo ? Any home remedies that can help reduce it ?

Yes I experienced quite a lot of heart burn during my 6 cycles of chemotherapy. My Oncologist gave me a twice daily antacid called Nexium which eased the heart burn greatly.

Heartburn (acidity), along with nausea is very common during chemo treatment. You can talk to your Oncologist about antacids, but I believe he or she would already have given antacids to you. In addition, you can have household things like milk and milk based items to reduce acidity. Also, don’t remain empty stomach for long intervals. Preferably, keep eating something every couple of hours.
