Sounds like a silly question but I am having my surgery tomorrow. They’ve said no nail polish, but does that mean toes to???? Like I said sounds silly but I got gel on so would need to start filling lol.

Not able to answer your question but sending good luck wishes your way for tomorrow x

Hi Tricia

Good Luck for your Surgery tomorrow 🍀 if you’ve got it off your finger nails they’ll be happy enough, they like to put a pulse oximeter on your finger in theatre. I only had polish on my toes & took it off.

My finger nails were another story! 💅🏼

All best wishes and big hug for excellent outcome for today . You will be in good hands . I went to theatre with bright red nails but nothing on my toes as drs agreed they would use those for observations , and ignored my acrylics . Wasn’t that nice!

Yes you do need to remove all nail varnish. Its a precaution in case of breathing issues and your natural colour can be seen instantly

If they have your big toes they are happy enough, l think when your having a lumpectomy or a mastectomy they don’t want to make a fuss about your nails 💅🏼 my surgeon just asked me to ditch the black as it would frighten the Technicians! 😉
