Hi there, MRI ‘s are easy and it’s a good idea as then you have covered every kind of scan and you will be reassured by this. Different scans pick up different things. For example the mammogram works along a different dimensional plane. Just because your mother died of breast cancer does not mean you are necessarily at any greater risk than anyone else in the population. Unfortunately all women who live long lives are at risk of at least having some cancer in the breast, but not necessarily of dying of it. Cancer in the breast is not the problem, only when it moves to other parts of the body. Catching it early is the present solution to preventing any spread. Good luck. You are doing well.
Have the MRI - it’s a simple procedure and it could save your life. Either way it will put your mind at ease. Good luck. 😊
Be grateful and happy that your doctor is offering this to you. You have no sign of cancer but he or she just wants to make sure and do the best for you. All the best xxxx
