My fiancés accident was April 5, he was in an induced coma from 5th-8th then he remained in his own from then til now. The difference is he has since been able to open and close his eyes, wake when his name is called ( usually always by me) he has grabbed my hand about two weeks ago, foot movements, and most recently on 4/20 stick his tongue out when I PERSONALLY asked him too. My question is since he is in what is called a "minimally conscious state" has anyone ever been through this or know someone who has, and if so are there days when they do nothing and is that ok. All the doctors do is come in once every other day and ask him to squeeze their hand. They are not here with him 6+hours like me to see any real significant changes. I just want to hear from you guys. I FEEL SO DEFEATED ... some days he sleeps and some he will do things. I remain hopefully and faithful everyday still. Thanks in advanced.

I think that it remains early days at the moment and thus too early to say what effects there will be. Are any of the doctors approachable for a talk with you about what you have seen Tony do and what they are looking at. Will Tony hand hold when asked and can he let go when asked. Xxxxx
