help needed

my mum went into A/E 2 weeks ago with pains in her stomach, & was discharged with a brain aneurysm, apparently this was discovered in 2015. Nobody ever told her, the doctors have no record of this, we are all devastated.

Hi Bella, I can understand how this would be such a shock and very frightening. I am quite shocked that that information was withheld in the first place, a lot including mine are found accidentally and looking back now given the choice I think I might have preferred not to have known because it has taken over my life since. I assume your mums must only be quite small as she has had no follow up appointments or treatments, or even seeing a neurologist, it seems like she has slipped through the net, which hospital was she in when found, surely she should have had some follow up, it’s very strange, I would certainly be looking into it.
