Hi Shezy

Apologies for my late reply but just wanted to say I completely know how you feel. My Mum had fatal SAH 30 years ago before they had the fantastic screening and awareness we thankfully have today.

I was diagnosed with 5 during an MRI. This is linked to the kidney disease PKD which creates brain aneurysms

Long story short I finally plucked up courage to have the biggest one 7mm coiled last year (May) in the Walton Centre, Liverpool. They were fantastic !!! My surgeon discovered it was a bilobed aneurysm during surgery and gave me the news that it would have rupture because of the irregular shape. My risk (like yours) was increased because of a blood relative tie with a fatal SAH.

Please take your surgeons advice.. they know best and can save your life before you risk losing it. Best decision I’ve ever made!👍🏻👍🏻

Please don’t hesitate to contact me further with advice, to chat or just to worry to!

I get it!!!

Regards

I had mine clipped both sides of head, one was 18mm other 10 I think it might av been 12 but it’s not so bad just me confident with ur surgeon, I sailed thru both ops n didn’t let it worry me, ud think that would be hard but I took it with a pinch of salt n thought well if I was meant to die I wunt av had a seizure that gotten them found with a ct scan, n they gotta be fixed so may aswell except that, the waiting game was worse as I wanted them fixing right away but waited 5 months before they operated x
