This relates to the US and is very unlikely to be true of the UK.

I have not read the article but............I know that CCG's are paid to prescribe new Insulin meds in the UK, (they're not generic, and once they've got you using their brand, they have a steady income stream) and we must all be aware re statins. I think it is likely much more prevalent in the UK than we are aware.

True about the statins. The threshold number for prescribing isn't what it used to be. I have to wonder what information is available about the changing landscape of statin scripts and how we got to where we are today regarding the number of people on statins.
