Over the past 11 years, we at HealthUnlocked have always prioritized our mission: to create a unique, thriving platform where people with similar health experiences can connect, help each other, and achieve improved knowledge and confidence--resulting in better health outcomes.
To continue working towards this mission for the many people the platform supports, we have reached a new step in the HealthUnlocked journey. We are pleased to announce that we are now part of a larger group of organizations, the CorEvitas family, and we'll be working within their patient experience unit.
HealthUnlocked will continue to provide you with a meaningful opportunity to engage with other members, and will now allow you to have an even greater voice within and contribute to the healthcare system via expanded research and project opportunities.
The platform is stronger than ever. The look and feel of the site will remain the same, and your online safety and data privacy will continue to be safeguarded with the utmost care by us, HealthUnlocked. The running of the communities will continue as it has been, with the administrator roles and autonomy over the respective communities remaining as they are.
We endeavour to keep an open dialogue and keep you in the loop. Let us know if you have any questions, you can add them below or send us an email to, to support@healthunlocked.com.
Thank you for being an instrumental part of HealthUnlocked. Without your consistent and loyal support over the decade, we would not have been able to deliver what we have accomplished so far.
All the best of health to you,
Pepa Gonzalez - Director of Community Operations

Hello Pepa, I think that you've all achieved your mission really well as you have lots of happy and loyal members. So thanks for telling us this and for reassuring us of our safety and of the continuity of our communities.
This sounds like a great opportunity for all involved so I'm very pleased for you all as it all sounds really good to me.
Lastly thank you all for all the hard work and great communities and how amicable they are, as we appreciate them.
We share a lot of very personal experiences in our communities and this is a safe place where we can do that, with privacy settings that allow for total anonymity and where what we are sharing does not end up published somewhere in a research.
We don't know what settings to use to opt out of the research.
Thanks so much for sharing with us how you feel about this news, which is great news to us as it sustainability in time is safeguarded.
As you, we take privacy and safety very seriously. All the content you and all members share via HealthUnlocked is safeguarded with the utmost care and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. From when members register to "Privacy tips" on every content input, we encourage everyone to stay anonymous and safe.
We do not foresee changes to our privacy policy - how we handle member's information - as a consequence of this news, and we remain bound to comply with current privacy laws, including GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Having affirmed this, if there is any planned change, be assured a detailed communication will be provided to HealthUnlocked members, as usual.
Everyone on HealthUnlocked has the option to manage their setting as they think it is best via healthunlocked.com/settings . You can also customise which emails you receive from us.
Please do let us know if you have any other questions via our Help Centre healthunlocked.com or at support@healthunlocked.com . We will be more than happy to help you. Take care
Thank you, Pepa, it is all useful information., and as I'm not the best at computer stuff (technophobe). I like to keep my security provisions as tight as possible.
Having this in mind, the Communities team has been working on an Online Safety e-learning program for everyone at HealthUnlocked to educated themselves around this important matter. Hopefully, we will be able to share soon [finger crossed]
First of all, good luck with your new venture and thank you for notification.
Secondly, regret I also feel the same about personal data, anonymity and safety on sites and am very security conscious with social media, and many other health sites that I participate in. I agree with Midori and Nathalie99 in this regard.
Thanks so much for your reply. Keeping your safety online is a very important matter.
After reviewing the options you have on your setting page, do you feel anything is missing or could be changed to help you feel safer on HealthUnlocked?
I would greatly appreciate it if you could send this feedback to support@healthunlocked.com Then I can share it with the wider team and find any potential optmizations.
Hi Pepa,Thank you for your response and apologies for late reply. I'll re-look at the settings but in the meantime have opted out of sharing data etc. Perhaps I'm too old fashioned and don't like change, but my security on sites is also important to me.
Content on HealthUnlocked does not replace the relationship between you and doctors or other healthcare professionals nor the advice you receive from them.
Never delay seeking advice or dialling emergency services because of something that you have read on HealthUnlocked.
